Newborn sessions are about your home, your people and the brand new one you're getting to know. Maybe there's an older sibling peering over for a look, a dog who won't leave the baby's side, warm light coming through your kitchen window at that particular time of day. The stuff that's so ordinary right now you'd never think to photograph it, but will mean everything later.

When you book a session


Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most precious moments, and capturing those tiny details and tender connections is a true honour. Here’s how a newborn session with me will flow, so you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

1. Initial Enquiry

Newborn sessions are ideally booked during pregnancy or within the first two weeks after birth to capture those delicate early days. Once you reach out, we’ll discuss your preferred timing, style and any special requests to ensure the session fits your family’s needs.


Your date is locked in once your booking form, contract and 50% deposit are completed. Because newborns can be unpredictable, I’m happy to offer some flexibility with scheduling close to your baby’s arrival. Payment plans are always available, please discuss this prior to paying your deposit.

2. Getting ready

I provide personalised styling advice tailored for newborns and families. Newborn packages include access to my client closet with soft, neutral outfits designed to highlight your baby’s natural beauty. My wardrobe will also cater to mum, with beautiful neutral outfits to compliment your baby's outfit. I’m here to guide you through what to wear and how to prepare your home for a calm, comfortable session.

3. On the day

Newborn sessions are gentle and relaxed. I work patiently with your baby’s natural rhythms, feeding, cuddling and soothing, to create safe and beautiful images. The session may take a few hours to allow plenty of time for breaks and settling.

4. After the session

Your full gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks, edited and delivered via an online gallery you can share and download. If you'd like prints, albums or wall art, just get in touch and I'll help you find the best fit for you.
